So, a while ago, FAB.com had these posters for sale and someone posted them to tumblr and that’s how I learned about FAB. And then, a little while later, FAB.de launched and I was delighted.
Today, I was even more delighted to see the subway posters had come up for sale in Germany. I’ve already ordered the Berlin one in silver and ochre. They also have it in black and white if monochrome is more your thing.

How far can I go on public transit? Illustrated above are the estimated distances one can travel on bus, tram, or subway within 45 minutes from comparable residential neighborhoods* in LA, San Francisco, New York, and Berlin. Max walking time to/from stations and stops is set at 15 minutes. Data from the wonderful Mapnificent.

* Perhaps I’m being unfair to LA because I’m less familiar with it. If there’s a neighborhood other than Los Feliz that is more similar to the others in terms of relative rent, safety, livability, etc., please comment below.

Friends all over the world: Social Networking mapped.
While the graphs are interesting, my first comment on the article was to ridicule the journalist who wrote it about for even mentioning that “Friendster” has fallen off the map.
Like, duh.
