We’re back from a weekend in Cologne, where my favourite thing to do is rifle through my Oma’s “Wunderkammer” (closet of wonders!). It’s where she’s tucked all sorts of things, including a massive collection of old photos.
I love this one of my Opa (right). The man he’s with is unknown, but the photo was taken in France.

Luisa really wanted a crepe.

We three. Gordes, France.

We wrapped up a week in Provence with two nights in Paris. It’s one of those rare cities that never, ever fails to live up to your expectations. It really is a magical place.
More vacation recap to come, but first, I’m going to eat a bowl of cereal and have a nap.

Au revoir! We’re off on a jetplane at an ungodly hour to the Luberon area of France. I’m going to eat a lot and frolic through the lavender fields, which are currently in season.
Then, after a week of frolicking, we’re spending two days in Paris. I’m going to eat ALL THE PASTRIES.
I plan on returning to Berlin smelling like lavender with a hint of butter.

Clearly, the universe is telling me that adding two days in Paris to the end of our vacation was a most excellent idea.

More to add to my list

File under: Extremely relevant to my future plans.

Our vacation is planned. You’ll find us on the edge of a little town in the Luberon region in Provence in a little hilltop town with a bread museum. That’s right. A museum dedicated to bread. We’ve rented a little house. With a pool. And a play set for Luisa. Surrounded by lavender fields.

Then we take the train to Paris for two days where I plan on visiting at least two of Ms. Greenspan’s favourite spots before getting back on a plane to Berlin.

I’ve said it before: I live a charmed life.
