Hunger Games, part II
So, the casting of the film. I think that the girl they chose for Katniss is ok now that I’ve seen they’ve dyed her hair brown. But Peeta is supposed to be blue-eyed and blonde with curls! This Josh Hutcherson guy they chose has none of those. I like Woody Harrelson for Haymitch, but I pictured him more John C. Reilly. President Snow, I saw more to look like Richard Gere than Donald Sutherland, but I won`t argue this casting choice either.
It`s mostly the casting choice for Peeta that has got my goat.
For those not interested in the Hunger Games, here is an interesting thing about the phrase `Got my goat`: In the early days of horse racing, they kept the thoroughbred really tense. Fed them sugar, cocaine, whatever to keep them going. In order to calm the horses down, they would give them a companion, like a goat. If someone wanted to throw a horse off his race, he would steal the goat, leaving the horse agitated and jumpy.
Hence the phrase `Got my goat`.
