I love my apartment. I love where it is located. The downside to my apartment is that across the street is a children’s playground. Just now, there was a small group of children that held an impromptu screaming contest.
I think we all lose in that one.
My bike is like a truck (without the emissions)
I just hauled 25 litres of soil and flower boxes from the store to home on my bike. Then I unloaded the basket and headed to the flower market and bought some plants to put in the soil and the boxes and hauled that home in my basket too.

Strawberry Blondies
(Adapted from the Blondies recipe in The Joy of Cooking)
Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C).
In a pan melt one stick of butter (8 ounces), set aside and let cool.
Mix together: 1 large egg, 1 large egg yolk, 1 table spoon maple syrup (or corn syrup), 1 teaspoon vanilla, half cup brown sugar. Add melted butter.
